5 Amazing Reasons Why You Should Decorate with Artificial Pumpkins

Here are my top 5 reasons to decorate with artificial pumpkins. For fall pumpkins, I prefer the artificial variety. I know this may not be mainstream, but over the years I’ve formed up a group of realistic-looking artificial pumpkins that have served me well. They are also more cost-effective and easier to use than the actual thing. Here are five reasons why you should use fake pumpkins to decorate for fall!

Fake Pumpkin Decor in different shapes, sizes, and colors

1. Artificial pumpkins come in a variety of shapes, sizes, and colors.

One of the most compelling arguments in favor of using fake pumpkins to decorate is the wide range of shapes, sizes, and colors that are readily available. I appreciate that real, heirloom pumpkins, which are among my favorite fall vegetables, are now fairly readily available in many grocery stores. The unusual colors and varieties, on the other hand, are not. I adore soft blue and green-toned heirlooms, as well as the soft orange cinderella varieties, but they are difficult to come by unless you go to a specialized nursery.

Fake pumpkins provide me with an abundance of color and size options, allowing me to decorate in a variety of ways. I keep a bowl filled with mini pumpkins in soft tones on the center island of my kitchen during the autumn season. In my family room, a garland of artificial pumpkins outlines a large vase filled with eucalyptus. I enjoy the variety of options I have when I use my collection of neutral-colored pumpkins to decorate for the fall season, and the best part is that I can store them and use them in different ways year after year.

2. You can mix artificial pumpkins with real.

Constructing a display of pumpkins around a fireplace or on a console table is one of my favorite ways to make a big statement with pumpkins in the fall. The cost of purchasing real pumpkins each year would be prohibitively expensive, not to mention the fact that I would require a large wheelbarrow to transport them all into the house.

Buying a few real pumpkins and then filling in the rest of my display with artificial pumpkins is my solution to this problem. When the fake pumpkins are of high quality and appear realistic, it is difficult to tell the difference. The display above features a few white pumpkins and multi-colored heirloom pumpkins, which I mixed in with a large number of faux heirloom varieties in realistic tones for a more realistic appearance.

4. You can paint artificial pumpkins.

A few years ago, I was in search of gold-colored pumpkins in a range of sizes. I was unable to find what I was looking for so I decided to paint a few myself. I think they turned out great.

Throughout the year, these pumpkins find a place in my life. It doesn’t matter if you’re decorating a porch or a console table, my orange pumpkins have become a seasonal favorite because of their quick and easy makeover.

Also, copper-looking pumpkins transform a simple tableau into something more refined.

5. Artificial pumpkins promote creativity.

This year’s fall decor was inspired by a desire to create an elegant tablescape without having to use real pumpkins, so I started using my favorite artificial ones. To add some color to my fall tables, I began collecting miniature pumpkins in a variety of hues.

As an accent, they may convert an otherwise regular table arrangement into something quite special. With a few soft-colored pumpkins and artificial hops, as well as playful, enormous acorns, I can create an easy-to-maintain fall centerpiece on the table above.

Garlands and table runners featuring imitation pumpkins and fresh flowers are some of my favorite fall tablescapes. Trying to have fun with colors and creativity is always a point of conversation when friends sit down to eat, and it’s a lot of fun.

Artificial pumpkins may give a stunning layer of interest to a table even if they are utilized to surround a large fall centerpiece.

This is why I recommend decorating with fake pumpkins this fall. It’s also worth mentioning that the money I’ve saved by storing these pumpkins between seasons has made it all worthwhile. Each fall, I enjoy experimenting with all of these colors and shapes. I’m not afraid to paint or modify them. Using fake pumpkins to decorate for fall is one of my favorite ways to make the season even more joyful.
